Obedience Class Schedule
The next session will start, Wednesday September 30th, 2026 and registration will open online on Friday September 11th, 2026 at 8pm. Classes will run weekly until November 11th, 2026.
Puppies and Dogs in Level 1 do not attend the first night. All other levels the dogs and handlers will attend the first night. Attendance is mandatory for the first night.
Class fee will be $235.00, which includes HST.

If a class is FULL, please register for the wait list. If we have enough people on the wait list, we will open up another class.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Junior handlers must be at least 12 years of age to participate in our classes. Although the junior is likely fabulous handling his/her own dog, it is hard to expect the maturity, in a child less than 12, to handle all the different kinds of interactions between dogs in an excited class situation. One handler in the Ring. A secondary handler may observe.
- Please do NOT bring dogs not registered in the classes to the training hall. Our class night is very busy, and we have no liability waiver or vaccination status for dogs that are not participating in the current session.
- Mask are not required, but may be worn as desired.

Rally Obedience Excellent/Masters
Prerequisite: For dogs that have taken Rally Obedience (Advanced) with HDOC, or where the handler has trialed a previous dog to a Rally Advanced title. Dogs must have had 2 sessions of basic obedience and have the ability to heel off-leash. A crate is required.

Trick Class Beginner
Prerequisite: For dogs and handlers that have taken one courses with HDOC and have a good wait and stay. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY FOR THE FIRST CLASS. Trick training is a fun approach to entertain your dog physically and mentally. You will learn a variety of tricks including: the muffin tin game, shake a paw, crawl, wave, the memory game and barrel racing. Class size is limited to 8 dogs (minimum 6 dogs needed to run this class).

New Open/Nov Int.
Refines off-lead heeling, teaches the drop-on-recall, retrieve on the flat, retrieve over the high jump, broad jump, and continues preparation for the sit and down exercises "out of sight" for the CKC and NAMBR CDX (Companion Dog Excellent) title. To be eligible for this class, the dog must have at least one leg of the CKC CD (Companion Dog) title, or equivalent NAMBR CD title. Class is limited to 6 dogs.

Novice
The prerequisite for this level is that your dog is accomplished in the basic skills in New Novice or has his CGN title. This level introduces you to the ring procedures for CKC Novice Obedience Tests

Rally Obedience Novice/Int/Adv
Novice: The prerequisite is for dogs that have successfully completed Introduction to Novice class, or equivalent, and have the ability to heel on lead. During this session, teams will be introduced to the CKC Rally Novice signs. The introduction will encompass a full explanation exercises and include practice of all individual stations, as well as practice courses. Intermediate/Advanced: The prerequisite is that you and your dog have your Rally Novice title and your dog can work off lead. Dogs do attend the first night and a crate is required Limit - 8 dogs

This class is for puppies over three months of age and less than 6 months of age at the beginning of the first class. This is a fun introduction for both puppy and handler to learn the skills required for a well behaved dog with good manners and helps you and your pup develop a good relationship. DO NOT bring your dog to class the first week.
